1. Walking

If you are new to exercise, do not worry and do not be afraid that you will end up fainting due to exhaustion on your very first day. There is no need to rush. As a beginner, you can start with slow and gentle exercises. One such exercise that is good for beginners is simply taking a walk. And we do not mean a leisurely walk, but rather, a brisk walk that gets you all pumped up. You won't lose much calories if you walk too slowly so once you are accustomed to walking, increase your speed.

2. Skipping

Skipping certainly is a more strenuous kind of aerobic exercise than going for walks. If you feel that going out for walks is too easy, you may perform skipping exercises.

Performing 40 - 60 skips a day causes you to burn lots of calories.Of course, you could skip more if you are able to do so. Be careful though as skipping can greatly accelerate your heart rate so start slowly at first.

3. Step-ups

One of the advantages of step-ups is that we don't have to go outdoors. So you needn't have to worry if it's rainy outside because you can do step-ups in the comfort of your own home.

This particular exercise can be done in your bedroom. Additionally, you could get step-up training equipment for performing this exercise. Doing this exercise increases heart rate quickly and will burn calories.

4. Squats

Similar to step-ups, you do not need to train outdoors but you certainly need the proper equipment. Squats can be very difficult and in fact, are the most strenuous exercises compared to the others above.

Squats are specially useful for building strength in the lower areas of our bodies, our legs in particular. If you have more muscle mass, more calories will be burned.

So, these are a few kinds of work outs to help you with weight loss. You may also do small things like taking the stairs rather than the elevator. Start walking to the store rather than driving your car. The more active you are, the more weight you will lose.
