7 Day Cleansing Diet

By: Emily Schwartz There are a number of ways in which you can approach a 7 day cleansing diet. First off you can choose to remove all toxins from your body just through drinking filtered water and freshly squeezed fruit juices for the time that the cleansing is going to take place.

The other way is to omit all kinds of processed foods along with meats, and then eat only raw foods for the period of 7 days when you are using the cleansing diet. This is one of the most sensible approaches to take with a 7 day cleansing diet and is likely to be very effective. It also means that you are actually providing your body with the opportunity to avoiding foods which are less healthy for you.

If you are unsure what your 7 day cleansing diet should consist of and are wanting to try one then below we offer some ideas that you may find very useful.

Idea 1 - You should first off try removing all dairy, meat and fish products from your diet for a week. There are plenty of other foods which are just as tasty and nutritious that can be incorporated in their place such as tofu.

Idea 2 - Throughout the 7 day cleansing diet it is important that you eat as much of your fruit and vegetables in their raw state. Plus try and eat organic ones as well as this reduces down the amount of chemicals being able to enter your body. Also you should avoid drinking bottled fruit juice and instead drink that which has been freshly squeezed.

Idea 3 - If you do want to have some cooked foods in your cleansing diet then it is best to go for brown rice as this contains high levels of fiber which will make you feel much fuller after you have eaten it. Again as with the fruit and vegetables you are eating make sure if you can to use organic varieties of brown rice.

Idea 4 - After you have completed the cleansing diet after one week you should not go back immediately to the way you were eating before you did this diet. Instead it is far better you gradually start to admit into your diet again cooked foods and allow at least a week further before you start incorporating meats back into your diet fully along with processed foods.

When it comes to a 7 day cleansing diet it is important to remember that things need to be taken slowly so you take care of yourself. Fasting is not a good idea for cleansing the body of toxins which can prove to be problematic to your health. Plus if you are someone who suffers from any kind of health problems or is required to take medication speak with your doctor first to see if they feel using any kind of cleansing diet is suitable.
