Internet addiction is in simple terms an unhealthy need to be on the internet.This is causing problems at work, their relationships, social lives as in their well being.

Most of us will use the internet sporadically to enjoy ourselfs or find answers we are looking for. It dont have to be an unhealthy relationship with your computer.

Those with an internet addiction find themselves lying about how much time they spend behind the computer and making lots of excuses for it. They are spending money online and neglect anybody around them, just for the anonymity of cyberspace. Its all consuming and it affects every aspect of their personal life.

Suffering from this form of addiction will end up feeling isolated and alone, due to the fact that their relationships have been allowed to come to an end. The online world will seem more real to them, it will be difficult to see why they should give up this new reality.
