Dieting might sound hard and boring. How many times have you not tried a new diet only to fail a few days or months later ending up growing the weight back? Dieting is not about fancy tricks or starvation. It is about increasing your metabolism and only eat what you need to grow and stay strong. I recommend eating five to six times each day. This will keep your metabolism increase to a higher level. Your body will also stop saving excess fat for between meals. You will also stop over eating as you know you do not have to wait for the next meal.

In the 5 - 6 meals a day diet it is important to cut down on the size of the portions. You should only eat one plate for each meal. A meal should consist of a fistful of protein rich food like chicken, egg-whites, ham etc, a fistful of carbohydrates like potatoes, pasta or brown rice and a fistful or two of fruit or vegetables.

You want to eat you meals on a regular basis. Because of this it is important that you plan the day carefully to ensure that you have a meal available when you need one. Store some extra meals in the fridge or in the refrigerator for easy access. Also carry an extra meal with you for work or if you are going places where these types of meals are hard to find.

To build muscles you will need proteins. Proteins are what muscles are made from so you must focus on getting your daily dose. Lean meat, fish and chicken are all rich in proteins. Milk, beans, grains, nuts and seeds are also good resources.

Fruit and vegetables are also helpful for six pack abs. They keep your body healthy. Fruits and vegetables will also strengthen your immune system. One third of all you eat should be from this group of food. Try to use different vegetables and fruits, but also embrace your favorites.
