How to Lose Fat for Good

By: Cindy Papp Trying to lose fat is a goal that many share even if you are a little overweight. Have you ever seen someone who loses weight only to look a little smaller, but still "fat?" Or are you one of those who are looking for a fat loss program as opposed to a weight loss program?

Losing fat is difficult and can seem like an unreachable goal. Learning why you are fat may help you to keep it simple and help you to have an easier time losing fat and keeping it off.

The first days of any fat or weight loss program is the most difficult. This is just the learning pattern. However, intense cravings later on cause most of us to fail. Add to this fact that markets are full of light and fat-free foods that simply don't work. Many times, these are no better than eating the regular version of the food. (Do you believe that light baloney will help you lose weight?)

Obesity in of epidemic proportions in America at a rate of 68% of the population. The trend is growing in spite of modern diet efforts. This is blamed on hormonal imbalances, junk food, genetics and lack of self-control. We now know that any of these may be a factor in higher body fat. Unfortunately, nothing is working including modern diets and weight loss drugs. It is time for a change of philosophy.

Simply put - you have been misguided with wrong information. We have all been given wrong information for years. For example; calories are what makes you fat. So if you eat less calories, you will lose weight. But what if your diet is only 1200 calories but these calories are in the form of cookies? See the flaw? You may lose some weight, but not fat.

All fats in food are bad is another lie you have been told. Some people still believe that avocados make you fat. Now we know there are different kinds of fat and some are necessary. In fact, if you do not eat "good fats," you can cause a range of health issues from hormonal imbalances to depression and heart disease. The truth is that good fats like Omega 3's and 6's are needed for good health and help you lose fat!

The biggest lie you've been told is that your body can cleanse itself whenever it needs to. A "board certified nutritionist" even claimed that you can consume food with toxins because whatever your body doesn't need, it will cleanse out. This is simply not true. He is claiming that if you eat what your body doesn't need, such as excess fat and calories, your body will simply eliminate it.

This is proven wrong every single day. Too many people are overweight and can't lose fat. This is because if you eat too many calories, your body doesn't eliminate them. Your body stores them! In addition, it is not just a matter of calories. It is the kind of calories that also counts.

Many foods are processed and laden with chemicals used to process them. In addition, the body doesn't have genes encoded to know what to do with these man-made chemicals. Why is this bad? It is a known fact that toxins from chemicals and even heavy metals are stored in fat and the fluid surrounding fatty areas.

The truth is that your body cannot cleanse on its own. The reason is that putting too much burden on the body, such as stored chemicals, will cause your body to not be able to perform its job of eliminating excess waste, or cleansing. One reason may be that recent studies have found some toxins interfere with our endocrine system and may even mimic hormones.

And the worst news you don't want to hear... we are animals and as with all animals, we can get parasites. Many want to ignore this problem claiming it doesn't exist because of pharmaceuticals, chemicals and technology. But if this were the case, we should also be immune to bacteria and virus. But we know better for we take precautions against them and even take antibiotics or antivirals to combat them, though we cannot see them.

The parasite issue is a common problem often ignored by the medical community. The subject is gross and we don't want to hear about it. But ignoring a problem rarely eliminates it. The fact is that parasites have been common in societies and man has taken course to deal with them for millennia. Only modern society is the first to ignore the problem. But in many older cultures you see the use of parasite control from eating wasabi and ginger with raw fish to regularly eating pumpkin seeds in Mexico.

So think about it - why are we addicted to junk food? Why is it so hard to overcome cravings? If self control is the issue, wouldn't mankind have died off due to eating ourselves to death? Here's what is really happening; parasites excrete waste into our bodies. Some doctors claim this waste can accumulate in and around the hypothalamus throwing it off balance and inhibiting its function. This in turn will cause your body to store more fat.

If you are serious about losing fat then you need to eliminate what is making your fat. Cleansing your body and taking herbs for a parasite cleanse can help many people. You can help your body cleanse by eliminating junk or processed food, eating more fresh vegetables, fruits and unprocessed whole grains and drinking plenty of fresh water. When used properly, this type of program can help you stay healthier, younger, have more energy and lose the fat for good.
