More Tips On Effective Anti-Aging Skin care

By: James Redder Anti-aging are rapidly increasing in popularity today. This is due in part to their ability to minimize the visible signs of aging which is important to older people. There has also been a trend toward using skin care products that increase the production of collagen. Collagen is one of the primary proteins contained in skin. It is also part of a group of naturally occuring chemicals called antioxidants. Antioxidants assist in minimizing the signs of visible signs of aging and are found in our body and in some foods.
You probably know many anti-oxidants by name, including vitamin C, the use of which is still, even now, hotly debated in the science and nutrition community. The main problem when using any skin care treatments which use vitamin C is that oxidization can occur as soon as they have contact with the air.
Other skin care treatments which mimic the effects of vitamin C are being tried all the time which are hoped to be more stable in the atmosphere and also cheaper to produce. Although these products are good, they cannot actually compare with vitamin C but fortunately vitamin E and alpha-lipoic acid are also anti-oxidants so can be used to gain the same effect.
Vitamin E is an antioxidant and component of human blood whose purpose is to help increase the body's immune system against diseases including cancer. On the other hand, lipoic acid or alpha-lipoic acid is necessary for energy production which keeps us alive; it is in every human cell and another function is to repair skin damage caused by the normal aging process.
Other compounds called phytochemicals have proved to be beneficial in the formulation of anti-aging skin care products; they are removed from various plants. A secondary but more important use of phytochemicals is the effect they have on the prevention of breast, prostate and colon cancers.
For some time now it has also been known that the vitamins B5, B6 and B12 also have anti-aging skin care properties. This just goes to highlight just how complex and far reaching the whole field of anti-aging skin care products is and why so much more research is required.
Although current regimes are effective, there are still many challenges to finding better and more efficient ways to combat the effects of time. In time it is hoped that less expensive and more reliable anti-aging skin care products will become available for a larger number of people to use.
Regardless of the efficiency of artifical skin care remedies they should only be used as a supplement since they can't replace natural skin care solutions. If you can make it a habit to Get a good night's sleep, drink enough water, maintain habits of healthy eating, regularly exercise and minimize stress then following this list of activities you can effectively delay the aging process.
