What Are Steroid Cycles?

By: iSteroids Steroids are used or taken in the pattern called cycling. Cycling means taking steroids over a specific period of time, then stopped, and then again continued. ‘Stacking’ is the term used for taking steroids in combination with other drugs.

The time periods in which anabolic steroids are taken are termed as steroid cycles. Bodybuilders, Weightlifters, Athletes, and Other sports the persons usually follow steroid cycles to use anabolic steroids. These people stack anabolic steroids with other drugs to help maximize results of their steroid cycles.

It has been proven that stacking helps to get prolific outcomes from steroid cycles. Steroid stacks can fetch more dramatic effects on the muscles users than the use of single type of steroid.

Steroid users experience different effects from different steroids. Thus, the users may experience different effects or side effects while stacking steroids during their steroid cycles. Steroid stacks have been used for years, and have proven to be a more effective way to build quality muscle than when using only one type of steroid.

Steroid users follow different steroid cycles. These steroid cycles may also include taking one particular anabolic steroid at the beginning of a steroid cycle and finishing up with a different steroid at the end, to better enhance the users desired result. Steroid cycles can last from two weeks to more commonly 6-12 weeks, or even longer.

The supply of exogenous hormones to the body suppresses its own testosterone production. The longer the body's endogenous supply of testosterone is suppressed, the harder it will be for their hypothalamus/pituitary/testicular axis (HPTA) to recover.

There are several serious health risks associated with longer steroid cycles. Some of these health risks include testicular atrophy, gynecomastia, heart problems, liver diseases, and in extreme cases, permanent suppression of the HPTA, necessitating permanent testosterone therapy. The risks of harmful side effects also increase with stacking or steroid stacks in steroid cycles. The pro steroid users often stack other non-anabolic drugs into their program to help minimize the side effects of their steroid cycles.
