With close to 14,000 miles of gorgeous terrain in this area to explore, everyone is bound to find something to enjoy. History runs rampant through this part of the country as well. You can visit a part of American history in Gillespie County when visiting the Lyndon B Johnson Historic site. Here not only will you learn about the influence of three cultures (Native American, Spanish and German cultures) on this area, but you can enjoy seeing the abundant deer, buffalo and even the longhorn Texas cattle. While there, you can visit The Sauer-Beckmann Farmstead; an actual Texas German farm that is a living history farm. Here, you will see a farm run as if it were still the 1800s. You can also visit Fredericksburg for more history. Here, you can learn about the German influence on visit the Texan culture or you can visit the National Museum of the Pacific War.
