Where to Find Free Career Information

By: Chris Channing Career resources are everywhere, free, and some that cost. Most are free however, because they want to encourage people to pursue those careers. They are targeted towards teenagers nearing the end of high school, as well as adults that want to further their education and search for a different career. We spend much of our time doing our jobs, so its important to find one that you truly love.
College career planning, advice and resources are available online through many websites. Millions of results are available upon request when you do a simple internet search engine inquiry. Easy to get information is everywhere. Your personality has many job types available for your individual needs, especially profiling your special attributes with these websites. This is all available for free! There are thousands upon thousands of free online pages as opposed to seeing a professional career advisor that will cost hundreds of dollars or more to see.
High schools and Universities will offer career pamphlets free to anyone that is interested. These pamphlets can aid you in finding your future career if you look into the information available within them and taking personality tests that will help find the careers you are most suited for.
College campuses are places that are filled with career intensive information at every corner. Almost every campus, whether it be a community college or university will offer free career information. There may be tours available that you can ask as many questions as you like based on career choices. Counselors and tour guides will both be able to answer your career related questions with ease.
Another resource that is associated with colleges are college fairs. They are free to attend and also offer plenty of information on majors that that college offers. They focus on explaining their different departments and how those departments will lead you directly to a career in the field that you desire. Nearly every college has one major that they focus on, and the students that are in that major are focused on a career that is related to the major. College fairs will try to provide extra information on those specialized career paths versus the smaller ones. All for free of course!
Career fairs are a lot like college fairs, but targeted towards adults or young people who are not necessarily at a college yet, or have undecided opinions for what they want to do the rest of their lives. Career fairs are free, and offer plenty of information on the worlds most popular and rising careers.
Closing Comments
Career information can be found anywhere and everywhere. You don't have to be restricted to an internet web page. There are many resources available that are free, both at physical and virtual online locations.
